Lauren studies harp under the tutelage of Carol McClure, Lecturer in Harp at Louisville University and Artistic Director of The Harp School, Inc. In the last three years, Lauren has taken the Grade 8, ARSM, and DipABRSM exams for harp administered by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. On each, she received a Distinction score. Lauren has been awarded prizes in competitions such as the Midwest Harp Festival National Competition, the Great Composer's Series International Competition, and the International Grande Music Competition. Recently, Lauren was awarded 3rd prize in the Young Artists' Harp Seminar International Competition and was invited to play in the Winners' Recital on July 8, 2020.
Besides music, Lauren enjoys reading historical fiction and biographies. She also loves baking cupcakes and cookies.
