I started playing piano at age 4. When I was 5, I got first place in the 2009 Hong Kong-Asia Piano Open Competition. In the follow years, I participated in many other competitions and performances, and won various awards. In 2014, I had the opportunity to play with French pianist Richard Clayderman in a concert. In the course of the years, my family moved several times from Hong Kong to Beijing to Vancouver and lastly, settled here in Raleigh. Although I couldn’t find a proper piano teacher when we first moved to Raleigh, I continued to practice on my own everyday. Last year, I was finally getting back on track as I found a great teacher. I have developed a deeper appreciation and passion for music. Apart from piano, I also participates in the school orchestra as a cellist. I am a member of the Tri-M Music Honors Society and actively volunteer through music. I use my musical talents to serve at my local church as an accompanist for Christmas and Easter Cantatas and play regularly in the worship team.
