Annabelle Wu was born and raised in California, USA, and she has been in touch with music since she was 3 years old, starting on the glockenspiel to develop a foundation and passion for music. When she was 7 years old she began playing the piano and shortly after began taking piano examinations under the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music. She began learning the cello at 12 and since then has been playing both piano and cello, and also began singing in school chorus in middle school. She is also a member of the South Coast Youth Symphony Orchestra. Her passion for music has taken her many places and brought many unforgettable experiences in her life. Now a freshman in high school, Annabelle loves to advocate for better music education and adequate funding for music departments whenever there is an opportunity, and she sees music as a part of her future that cannot be taken away by any challenges that life may place in her way.
