Aether Quartet
The Aether Flute Quartet is a newly-established undergraduate quartet from West Virginia University, studying with Nina Assimakopoulos. Aether consists of freshman Ethan Nylander, sophomores Jacey Crayton and Juan Carlos Narvaez, and junior Lydia Moenssen. Aether has performed publicly for WVU’s 2019 International Flute Symposium and WVU Honor Band masterclasses. Some of Aether’s most recent achievements include earning first place in the WVU ChaMP Competition and being selected as a finalist for the Flute Society of Kentucky Chamber Music Competition, where they will travel to Lexington in March for the final round. Aether enjoys performing new contemporary music and are looking forward to giving the US Premiere of Cheng Yu-Tai’s “Mission Incredible”.
