I started playing the piano when I was 6 years old, and music has been an important part of my life ever since. In Korea, I had received several awards in various music competitions. I kept up diverse musical experience that included playing the piano and violin in my school orchestras, singing in choirs, leading church services as part of the praise band that performed contemporary styles of music. In high school, I made some video poetries of my piano compositions and produced a student-run musical where I wrote the script, composed original music, and performed in the presentation. After high school graduation, I came to the United States to further my musical goals and dreams. Currently, I am studying to sharpen my skills to become a better well-rounded pianist/composer.
