Edie Park


Edie J. Park (11) started learning piano at age six. After two years of casual study, she picked up pace under the guidance of Dr. Katie Randolph upon moving to Wilmette, IL. Currently she is studying with Dr. Christina Tio. 

Edie has been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in June 2021 as the 2nd place winner of the 2020 American Protégée International Piano and Strings Competition and also invited to perform at the Beethoven House in Bonn, Germany as the 1st place winner of the 2020 International Music Competition Grand Prize Virtuoso. She won second prize in the International Piano Talents Competition 2020, hosted by the PianoFriends Association in Milan, Italy. She is an honorable recipient of the Artists of Tomorrow Merit Scholarship conferred by the Music Institute of Chicago. She was the 1st Prize Winner of the Great Composers Competition Series 2020: Best Mozart Performance, Best Chopin Performance. 
Her accomplishments in 2019 include 1st place in the Clara-Schumann International Piano Competition, 3rd prize in the North Shore Music Teachers Association Competition, 3rd place in the Illinois State Music Teachers Association Competition, and Honorable Mention in the Sejong Music Competition. She was selected for masterclass at the Suzuki Association of the Americas 19th Biennial Conference 2020 in Minneapolis and at the 2020 Chicago Virtual Suzuki Festival Guest Artist Master Class with Dr. Alan Chow. 
In 2017 and 2018, Edie was invited to perform at the Honor’s Recital at the Chicago Suzuki Summer Institute. She won Gold Medals in a number of Sonata/Sonatina Festivals in Illinois for four consecutive years. 

Other than piano, Edie enjoys reading, math, Latin and participating in spelling bee. She aspires to become a newspaper reporter and the president of the United States of America.
