Alan is a freshman at Staples High School in Westport, Connecticut. He has been studying piano since age four under Kumiko Imamura at the Suzuki School of Music in Westport.
He has won a number of awards, including the CSMTA Fairfield Chapter Annual Deborah Kahn Competition, the SMSWO Piano Concerto Competition and the CSMTA Fairfield Chapter Annual Winter Competition, and 2nd prize at the Schubert Club of Fairfield County Awards Competition in the J.S. Bach Junior Division. He performed at the Suzuki Association of the Americas 18th Biennial Conference in 2018, and most recently performed the Beethoven Piano Concerto No 2 at the Westport Public Library's Grand Opening Day Ceremony.
Alan also plays cello, enjoys sailing, competes in cyclocross and is an avid mountain biker.
