Jair Chan Kang Jun
Jair Chan is a 8 year old, young inspired and keen performer. Jair started playing the piano at the age of 4 and a half. Started off as a casual music journey, Jair’s love for the piano grown rapidly under the tutelage of Ms Christine Gan. His passion inspires him to share his love for performing on a stage that will reach many in different parts of the world.
Jair has won various awards at music festivals and piano competitions. He won First Prize at the American Protégé International Music Talent Competition, where he made his debut performing at Carnegie Hall, New York. He was also invited to perform at Royal Albert Hall, London, after winning First Prize, as well as the Young Exceptional Talent Special Prize at the International Music Competition Grand Virtuoso. Jair has also attained Gold Awards at the Euroasia Piano Festival, Singapore Performing Arts Festival and Asia Arts Festival, where he was invited to perform at the Gala Concert, featuring outstanding performers of the festival. Jair has most recently participated at the XXIII International Piano Festival in Poland, where he made his concerto debut.
Always with the passion to spread love and contribute back to society, Jair performed at ChildAid Singapore, a charity concert which raised more than S$2 million for the socially disadvantaged children. He has also performed for staff and patients at the Alexandra Hospital and Changi General Hospital in Singapore. Jair’s passion for performing has also seen him thoroughly enjoy performing at events like Singapore Rhapsodies at the Singapore National Museum, Singapore National Gallery, as well as, Bach in the Subways.
