Caden Wang is currently a fourth-grade student at Fox Chapel Elementary School Center for Enriched Studies (CES) program in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Caden has been taking piano lessons with Dr. Marjorie Lee since the summer of 2015. He has participated and received superior ratings in several piano festivals, including North Virginia Music Teacher Association (NVMTA) Fall Festivals, Bach Festivals, and Sonata Festivals. He was a second-place winner in NVMTA Concerto Festival, a third place winner in the Great Composer Competition – Kabalevsky, and received Honorable Mentions in Maryland State Music Teacher Association (MSMTA) Piano Solo Festival, International Young Artist Piano Competition (IYAPC), and Asian American Music Society (AAMS) Peewee Division in recent years. He performed at the US Department of State and National Institutes of Health special musical events. In February of 2020, he was selected as a first-place winner at the Elite Music Competition and performed at the Winner’s Recital in Carnegie Hall in New York. Besides piano, Caden is taking trumpet lessons with Mr. Daniel Lee. He is working on earning a black belt in karate this academic year. Caden also loves reading, robot building, coding, tennis, and swimming.
