Sophia Louie is a ninth grader at Westwood High School in Austin, TX. She started playing piano at the age of five and is currently studying with Mrs. Emily Yeh Chow. She has won numerous competitions including first prizes in the Austin Solo Contest, first place in the Schedler Scholarship competition, second place in the 2019 Baylor/Waco Piano Competition and first prize for the 2019 Steinway Junior Piano Competition.
In addition to piano, Sophia is an accomplished violinist and has won several competitions including the Blackerby Young Violinists Competition and Starlight Symphony Orchestra’s 2020 Young Artist Competition. As well as playing and performing beautiful music, Sophia enjoys dancing, running, swimming, travelling and listening to music."
