Sadiyah Babatunde
Soprano Sadiyah Babatunde is a third-year undergraduate pursuing dual degrees in Vocal Performance and Marketing at The Ohio State University. Currently, she does vocal studies with Dr. C. Andrew Blosser. During Sadiyah’s time at OSU, she has been part of the OSU Symphonic Choir and Women’s Glee Club where she has been surrounded by intelligent women who major in music or other subjects, e.g., women’s studies, neuroscience, and engineering. Her involvement with opera began in The Ohio State University Opera & Lyric Theatre- where she was a member of the chorus for Candide (italicized). In the summer of 2019, Sadiyah spent her time as a counselor in Michigan at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. There, she claimed first place in the Staff Solo Competition and was honored as a soloist with the esteemed Festival Band. Most recently, Sadiyah was a featured soloist with the Columbus Symphony Chorus in ‘The American Festival’ singing the choral solos within George Gershwin's Porgy and Bess (italicized). Slowly but surely, Sadiyah is blossoming and making her mark as a vocal artist.
