Marissa Fieland
Marissa Pearl Fieland is an American Soprano in her 3rd year of undergrad at the New England Conservatory of Music. Her interest in voice was first established in high school when she began taking lessons with Soprano Amy Hansen and within one year, won first place in her District Solo Competition for Soprano. Throughout the rest of her high school career, she went on to place third (2016) and second (2017) at the Oregon State Solo Competition for her respected voice part. During her senior year of high school, she was a finalist with the Carnegie Hall Honors Performance Series, performing in an ensemble at Carnegie Hall. She was a member of the Oregon All-State Choir for four years and joined the All-Northwest Choir her senior year. She also played the Fairy Godmother in Rogers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella (2017), and Rapunzel in Sondheim’s Into The Woods (2016). Presently, she is studying with renowned dramatic soprano Jane Eaglen at the New England Conservatory. In her college career she has performed excerpts of Verdi’s Falstaff as Alice (2018), Rossini’s La Cenerentola as Clorinda (2018), and Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro as Countess Almaviva (2019).
