Kate Vo is 10 years old and is a fifth grader in Palo Alto, California. She began learning violin at the age of 4 and piano at the age of 6.5. She currently studies violin with Elizabeth Faidley and Elizabeth MacCorquodale, and piano with Elizabeth Dorman. Kate has received awards for the multiple violin and piano competitions and has performed in venues, including Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center, and Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Music Center in NYC. She has won 1st prize for East Coast International Competition in 2018, 1st prize for VIVO International competition and 2nd prize for Great Composers “Art of Strings” Competition in 2019, and the winner of The Piano Teachers Society of America Competitions in 2018 and 2019.
Beside violin and piano, Kate enjoys playing tennis, reading, traveling, and making her own movies.
