Joshua Schiller is currently a high school sophomore. He started playing piano at the age of 4, and loved it immediately. Since 2014, he has been studying with Erna Gulabyan. In 2014, Joshua won 2nd prize in the AFAF piano competition, and performed in Carnegie Hall. He competed in the 2015 MTAC solo competition and won 2nd alternate, as well as earning an honorable mention in the Marilyn Mindell competition the same year. Joshua has won multiple prizes in the US Open Piano Competition: he achieved 2nd place in the category Treasury of Contemporary Composers in 2015 and 2016, and in 2018 he competed and won 1st place in the Showcase Solo category. In 2019, Joshua competed in the CAPMT Honors Competition and won 2nd place.
