Izabela Stocka


Izabela, born in Wroclaw, Poland is a graduate student of Karol Szymanowski School of Music and currently studying the violin at the Royal Academy of Music in London in prof. Michael Foyle class. She began learning the instrument at the age of 6 and since the time has attended numerous violin competitions in such countries as Poland, Czech Republic, England and France. She was accepted as a participant in various music courses and festivals including most recent one at the Mozarteum Summer Academy where she had a chance to work with professor Pierre Amoyal. Besides soloistic experience she is equally engaged in chamber and orchestral music and is regularly performing with her piano trio – formed at the Royal Academy of Music in 2017. She had a chance to perform as both 1st and 2nd violin leader with South Czech Philharmonic, London Young Sinfonia, New Tottenham Singers, Polish- German Young Philharmonic and Royal Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra and tour in China, Germany, England, Czech Republic and Poland. Her recent projects include working with world-renowned conductors such as Marin Alsop, Semyon Bychkov, Yan Pascal Tortelier, Edward Gardner, Manuel Lopez-Gomez and in past- Oliver Knussen. Izabela is playing 1800 Lorenzo Ventapane violin on kind loan from the Royal Academy of Music.
