Cameron Renshaw
Cameron, age 8, is a third grader at Marshall Elementary School, in Byron Center, Michigan. He has been playing cello for two years, but has already performed in some of the world’s premier concert halls -- Carnegie Hall (First Place Winner in the American Protégé International Piano and Strings, American Protégé International Talent, and the Golden Era of Romantic Music International competitions; Academy of Music in Grand Rapids’ 15th Anniversary Concert), Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and Mozarteum in Salzburg (First Absolute Prize [100/100] and the Exceptional Young Talent special prize winner at the International Music Competition, Grand Prize Virtuoso, in both the Amsterdam and Salzburg 2019 Competitions). At the age of 7, he was the youngest prize winner in the Rising Stars Grand Prix International Competition 2019 in Germany. He currently studies with Pablo Mahave-Veglia at GVSU and at the Academy of Music in Grand Rapids. Outside of cello, he enjoys ice-skating, reading, and building with Legos.
