Lina is 12 years old and started playing the piano when she was 5 years old under the guidance of Kumiko Imamura. She has since won many top prizes in both regional and international competitions.
Most recently, Lina won the First Prize, as well as the “Best Performance of Commissioned Work”, at the 44th Annual Renee B. Fisher Piano Competition. Lina was awarded the Second Prize at Chopin International Piano Competition in Hartford, CT when she was 9 years old.
Last year, she was selected as a winner for the fourth consecutive year at the 36th Annual Deborah Kahan Competition held by the Connecticut State Music Teachers Association. She is a two-time First Place winner of the Connecticut Bach Festival Competition. Lina also received the First Prize for the Best Debussy Performance and the Best Bach Performance of the Great Composers Competition, First Prize at Glory International Baroque Music Competition, and First Prize at the Juliet Shaw French Piano Award of the Schubert Club of Fairfield County Awards Competition, among others. Early in her studies, Lina was invited to perform at the Carnegie Hall as a Gold Award winner of the Golden Key Music Festival when she was 7 years old.
Lina was also selected to perform for masterclasses at Suzuki Association of the Americas’ Biennial National Conference in Minneapolis in May 2018 and May 2020.
In addition to her solo performances, Lina has enjoyed playing the concerto works with professional orchestras and chamber music groups, including performing with the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra and the KEYS Orchestra conducted by Maestro Jonathan Yates and performing with members of the Lublin Philharmonic in Poland.
