Chloe Joo is studying violin at the 92Y School of Music with a merit scholarship in the Recanati Kaplan Program. She is the concertmaster of the ISO Symphony Orchestra. She was interviewed by Andrea Grimes from CBS on WCBS-TV in April 2018.
Chloe was the winner of ISO’s 2015 Concerto Competition and performed as a soloist with the ISO Concert Orchestra at Rose Theatre in Jazz at Lincoln Center.
She performed twice at Carnegie Weill Hall after winning first place at the 2015 Forte International Music Competition as well as 2016 Rondo Vanguard Music Competition.
She won third place at the 2018 International Grande Music Competition and performed in Merkin Concert Hall. She also won Maxima Cum Laude for an outstanding performance in the National Latin Exam by the University of Mary Washington in Virginia.
Outside of school, she takes ballinet classes with Parsla Vintere at Lucy Moses and Korean drumming classes with the Ko-Art drum team."
