Ajay Mallya
Ajay Mallya (16) started learning violin at age 3 and is a student of Zhao Wei of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Ajay has won top prizes at Pacific Music Society, Palo Alto Philharmonic Concerto Competition, DVC/HNU, KAMSA, CMEA, Enkor International, American Protege, etc and is the concertmaster of the Bellarmine Chamber Orchestra, where he also performs as a soloist. He is an avid chamber musician and his trio has won second place at the Galante Competition and Enkor International. Ajay has attended renowned music schools and festivals such as the Meadowmount School of Music, Summit Music Festival, California Summer Music Festival and has learnt from such musicians like Maestro Aaron Rosand, Prof. Gerardo Ribeiro, Prof. Sally Thomas, Mr. Kikue Ikeda, Haik Kazazyan and others. This summer, Ajay will be representing the US at major international festivals in Europe, as a member of the National Youth Orchestra - USA.
