Ziyan Wan (10 year old) started playing piano at the age of 5 with a local teacher in China. She began to learn piano performance with Dr. Angela Chan from April of 2018 at Lambda School of Music and Fine Arts in Montreal, Quebec (Canada).
After 8 months of study with Dr. Chan , Ziyan won the Crescendo International Music competition and was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in January of 2019. As the first prize winner of Grand prize Virtuoso, Ziyan was invited to perform in Paris and London (Royal Albert Hall) in April of 2019. Ziyan also won the gold medal s in both the 10-12 years old category and challenge class, hence awarded the Junior Advanced Trophy and Challenge class Distinction Award (Junior）in 2019 Quebec Music Competition (Live competition). Since she won the Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition, she will be performing at Carnegie Hall again in November of 2019.
Besides piano performance, Dora enjoys badminton and reading. Dora's favourite genre of books is historical fiction of world history.
