Lucas Diep age 11, began playing the piano in 2015 under the tutelage of Ms. Christine Gan, is an international prize-winner of several competitions.
Having won the First Prize at the American Protégé International Music Talent Competition Fall 2016, Lucas made his debut at the Carnegie Hall, New York in July 2017.
In addition, Lucas was awarded First Prize for his solo and his duet, at the Salzburg Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition 2017, when he performed at the Mozarteum, Salzburg in July 2017.
In the same year Lucas made his concerto debut under the baton of Kazimierz Brzozowski, with the Lublin Philharmonic Orchestra at the International Piano Festival, Chopin’s Homeland at Naleczow, Poland, in July 2017.
In 2018, Lucas took part in the Singapore Piano Island Festival 2018. He also performed at the National Gallery Singapore; National Museum of Singapore; Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, Steinway Gallery, Bach in a Subway and Steinway Piano Marathon.
In June 2019, Lucas participated in the Adam Gyorgy Castle Academy in Budapest, Hungary, where he performed concerto under conductor Gabor Hollerung, with the Dohnanyi Symphony Budafok Orchestra.
In July 2019, Lucas won four Gold awards at the Ars Nova Festival Competition 2019 Singapore, and clinched three Star Awards at the Ars Nova Gala Concert held at the Esplanade Recital Hall Singapore.
In the same month, Lucas also won five Gold awards at the Asia Arts Festival 2019 Singapore.
In August 2019, Lucas won a Gold award, as well as a Gold Star award at the Singapore Performing Arts Festival. He was subsequently invited to perform at the Singapore Performing Arts Festival Gala Concert.
In November 2019, Lucas was selected among the nation wide participants, to perform at the ChildAid 2019 Concert. ChildAid is one of Singapore’s key annual children charity concert organised by The Straits Times & The Business Times, to help raise fund for the less fortunate children. Lucas also performed at charity performances at Alexandra Hospital and Changi hospital.
