Aoden has been playing the cello since he was three years old. He currently studies with Singapore Symphony Orchestra, cello section fixed chair, Guo Hao. Aoden has won many international competitions including the Rising Star London Festival Competition 2020, first place and judges’ outstanding award, the 3rd International Competition for Best Schumann Performance, first prize, 2019, the Art of Instrumental Performance competition series, first prize, 2019, the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition First prize, 2018, and the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition Best Haydn Performance, 2018. Aoden was also a participant in the Piatigorsky International Cello Festival 2016 in Los Angeles, USA and was part of the 100 cello performances in the Walt Disney Hall alongside renowned cellists Mischa Maisky, Ralph Kirschbaum and Giovanni Sollima. In 2012, he received the HSBC Youth Excellence Award winner for Music Excellence presented to him by the President of Singapore, Dr Tony Tan.
