Alex Barnstijn is currently 18 years old, and has been playing the cello since he was 4 years old. In more recent years, he has also taken up the drums and electric bass. He also rock climbs competitively, being a member of the Guelph Grotto competitive team. He is currently enrolled in grade 12 at Guelph C.V.I., and will be attending the University of Waterloo next year, with a major in Materials and Nanosciences.
