Yash Vij, 17, from the Bay Area, California, USA, an avid piano player and student, has been playing piano for the last 10 years. He has won several piano competitions in the past with American Protégé, the American Fine Arts Festival, and even Youth Focus, which have enabled him to receive numerous awards and distinguished honors including the opportunity to perform at Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall, New York. Outside of being a pianist, Yash enjoys being a member of his school’s dance team, a tenor in his school’s Advanced Concert Choir, and a member of his school’s cybersecurity team. He has a profound interest in STEM-related subjects such as computer science, calculus, and physics. He seeks to take his passion for music to a whole new level through practice, dedication, and the spirit of competition.
