Gerardo Bernabé is a Mexican pianist who has devoted 12 years of his life to the study of the piano. Since he was 4 years old, Gerardo began his musical journey in this instrument, taking weekly classes that would soon become his lifetime hobby and passion. Ever since, he has played numerous works from renowned composers such as Chopin, Bach, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Haydn, Mozart, and many more. He has participated in four International Piano and Masterclass Festivals in the Facultad de Música de la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, and has won an Honorable Mention in the Concurso de Jóvenes Pianistas Parnassós, Second place in the "Best Tchaikovsky Performance" competition by Great Composers Competition Series, Second place in "The Music of Germany & Austria" competition by the same organization, and a First Place in a local, school fine arts competition. He has also developed contemporary music abilities through his participation in six musical plays (2015 as leading keyboard, 2016, 2017, 2018 as leading pianist), and has been orchestra director for two musical plays (2019 and 2020). Music is an activity that defines Gerardo, and what started as a curiosity 12 years ago when he decided to take piano classes evolved into a lifetime passion.
