Emilia Diaz Delgado
Emilia, a 9-year-old Mexican who likes to make origami, bird-watch, and play with her dog, started studying with Igor Avila, and discovered that when playing, she felt excitingly playful. She also wanted to play with other kids, so she entered the SFCM to play in ensembles and study with Scott Cmiel.
In 2017, she played a Vivaldi Concerto with an orchestra, which she considers to be one of her greatest achievements.
Her dog, Kayla, falls asleep whenever she plays, and it is Emilia's opinion that this is because she plays very nicely!
