Joel is 12. He is currently in 7th grade. He is a piano student of Dr. Anna Ouspenskaya since the fall of 2016. Joel won 1st place in Little Mozarts International Competition 2019 based on his Balanchivadze Piano Concerto No. 3, movement 3. He performed Clementi Sonatina Op. 36, No. 6, Mov. 1. at Carnegie Hall, NY for the Winner Concert of the competition. The same pieces also won him 2nd places at the Great Composer International Competition Series’s, The Music of Eastern Europe 2019, and the Masters of Sonata. He also won 1st place in the American Fine Arts Festival, 2020, with his Kabalevsky Piano Concerto No. 4, “Prague Concerto”, 1st Movement, and is scheduled to play at Carnegie Hall in December 2020. He won Orpheus Classical Recording Project 2020. Besides playing the piano and violin, he enjoys Lego, reading, badminton, basketball, and playing with his little brother, Harry.
