John Zhao
John Zhao is 16 years old and a straight A student at Hillcrest High School. He currently studies piano with Dr. Irene Peery Fox, and previously with Dr. Ning Lu and Jie Lu. Making his first orchestra debut at age 10, John has continued to perform in many prestigious festivals and competitions since, some of which include; Play Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No.1 1st Mov with Utah Symphony; 2018 Chopin Foundation National Training Camp; 3rd place in Steinway Young Artist Competition; The young artist in 35th PianoTexas, Scholarship at Orford Musique in Canada 2017, the Junior Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition in Salt Lake City, and finalist at 15th Ettlingen International Piano Competition in Germany. John also won 2nd prize in the International Keyboard Odyssiad Competition in Colorado, has performed twice at Carnegie Hall, and performs each year for the Gina Bachauer Foundation in school recitals. John also took master class from Dang Thai Son, Kervin Kenner, Alexander Korsantia, Antonio Pompa-Baldi, Tamás Ungár, Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń, Stanislav Ioudenitch, Frank Weinstock, Eduardo Delgado, Angela Cheng, Alvin Chow,Fabio Bidini,Eteri Z Andjaparidze and David Jalbert.
