Claire Tong
Claire Tong has been playing piano under the direction of professor Natalia Harlap when she was four and half years old. In 2014, she was awarded the first prize of the American Fine Art Festival International Concerto Competition at age 6 and was subsequently invited to perform at Carnegie Hall. Since then, Claire challenges herself in many competitions regularly. In 2015, she won the first prize at Little Mozarts Competition. From 2016-2018, She won first prize 3 times at Bay State Piano Competition by Massachusetts Music Teacher Association. In early spring 2018, Claire got honorable mention at the Chopin International Competition in Hartford, Connecticut and Steinway competition. Currently in 5th grade at Angier elementary school in Newton, Claire also plays violin in the school orchestra. In her spare time, Claire enjoys playing with her friends, dancing, singing, drawing, watching movies, listening to music and traveling.
