CHRISTINE CUI, 16, took her very first piano lesson when she was 6 years old. At age 8, she began studying with Dr. Irene Peery-Fox, who helped spark her passion for piano.
Christine has won Honorable Mention in the 2015 Utah Symphony’s Salute to Youth, making it to the finals multiple times for that same competition. She placed Honorable Mention in the 2016 UMTA Concerto Competition, as well as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in other competitions such as the Encore Keyboard Competition, Salt Lake Piano Competition, and Weber State Piano Festival.
Besides competing, she loves performing. Christine occasionally volunteers to play for her church and various programs. She has also accompanied a few friends for their own music recitals and competitions.
Christine currently lives in Fruit Heights, Utah, and is a Sophomore in West High School’s IB program. She is a member of her school’s tennis team, and is attempting to write a book in her free time due to her love of literature.
