Brandon Luo, a sixth grader from Apex, NC, began his piano study with Florence Ko at age five. Since then, he has competed in various piano competitions and received many awards, including State Royalty Competition and Scholarship (“Mary Davis Honorary Award” and “Maxine Tayler Fountain Memorial Award”) first place, Raleigh Piano Teachers Association Young Artist Audition first place, International Great Composers Competition “The Music of 19th Century” and American Protégé International Music Talent Competition first place. Brandon was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in 2017. Recently, Brandon won first place at the MTNA state competition, Charles F. T. Nakarai Piano Competition and RPTA Scholarship Auditions.
