Alexandra Fordsman


Alexandra Fordsman is a Junior at Wilton High School in Connecticut. She started playing piano when she was 5 years old. She has participated in the Young Musicians Festival in Fairfield, CT for the past 6 years earning a perfect score each time. She has participated In Crescendo International Competitions and is a four-time First Place recipient: 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. Her talent has been showcased at Crescendo’s Winner’s Concert series in the world-famous Carnegie Hall, New York in those respective years.(Except for 2021 due to Covid-19) She was selected to participate in the International Student Exchange Program in the summer of 2019 where she performed at Albrechtsbert Musikschule, Klosterneuburg, Vienna - Austria. She was again invited to participate in the ISEP to perform in Osaka and Tokyo, Japan in June of 2020. (Postponed to June 2022 due to Covid-19). In January of 2020 she was a First Place winner of the Golden Key of Vienna Music Festival Competition. As a result, she was invited to perform in both world famous venues, Ehrbar Hall and Bösendorfer Hall at Mozarthaus in Vienna, Austria in August of 2020. (Postponed to August 2022 due to Covid-19). 
In April of 2019 she was one of the five finalist in the Steinway Piano Competition in Connecticut and performed at Steinway Hall in New York City. She has won over fourteen competitions in the Great Composers Competition, a series of international music competitions based in the UK.

Alexandra also loves to read and has been dancing ballet since she was 3 years old.
