Ella Grace Malcom is a seventh grader at Northwestern Middle School. She began playing violin at the age of 5 in a Suzuki program and at the age of 7 started studying under the direction of Sonya Foster. At the age of eight she received first place at the Georgia Music Teachers Association(GMTA) which earned her a solo performance at the GMTA Annual Conference as a convention recitalist. Additionally she was the second place winner in the American Protege International Music Talent Competition in the Spring of 2016 as a nine year old and as a result invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York. Ella Grace has also performed many solos at her church and nursing homes in the community. Besides the love to play violin, Ella Grace is an excellent student and athlete. She also runs Cross Country and recently placed 8th in State and 11th in Regionals to earn her a spot to run in the National Championship in Reno, Nevada. In her spare time she likes to read and write stories.
