Audrey Ang, age 10, was born in New York City in the year of 2009. She began her violin studies at the age of five in Special Music School of Kaufman Music Center with the esteemed Mr. Viktor Basis. Under Mr. Viktor's strict but caring instructions, Audrey has been performing internationally, in NYC, Cremona, Prague and Hong Kong.
Audrey won numerous international competitions since 2016. In both years of 2019 and 2020, she won twice the first prize in the category of Group B (age 9-11) Vivo-Youth International Music Competition, where she performed in Merkin Hall of Kaufman Music Center. In 2019, she was awarded 1st Prize of New York Music Competition. She also won the first prize of the Best Handel Performance in the Great Composer Competition, and also first prize of Enkor International Music Competition.
In 2018, Audrey won Gold Prize of Group A (age 8 and under) Vivo-Youth International Music Competition.
In 2017, she was selected to be First Prize in the category of Beginner Violin, of Hong Kong International Music Competition, where she performed in Tsuen Wan Town Hall. In the same year of 2017, she won Second Prize of the Junior Category in the Cremona International Competition for Strings, allowing her to perform at Museo Del Violino Concert Hall in Cremona Italy.
For summer music festivals, Audrey participated twice in Cremona International Music Academy and Festival during 2016 and 2017. In 2019, she enjoyed her music making in Prague String Festival.
Apart from Audrey's violin practice and performance, she enjoys playing piano, reading, skiing, dancing, windsurfing and tree climbing.
