Leslie Jin

Pianist Leslie Jin, age 15, is in the eleventh grade at Carlmont High School. She started playing the piano at the age of five and studies with Steinway Artist, Sujeeva Hapugalle. Leslie’s successes at competitions include first prizes at the MTAC Solo Competition Northern Region, the American Fine Arts Festival Golden Era of Romantic Music International Competition, the American Fine Arts Festival International Concerto Competition, the Great Composers Competition Best Beethoven Performance, and the US Open Music Competition (Showcase), including an Outstanding Gold Medalist Award. She is also a top prize winner at the MTAC State Piano Solo Competition, the US International Competition, the Pacific Musical Society Competition, the US New Star Piano Competition, and the San Jose International Piano Competition. Leslie participated in the [email protected] Chamber Music Institute Young Performers program in 2013, 2014, and 2018 and attended the Morningside Music Bridge Program in Beijing, China in 2016. Additionally, she was a participant of the Young Chamber Musicians program at Kohl Mansion, Burlingame from 2016-2017. She performed at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in 2013. Outside of music, she enjoys volunteering and has a black belt in Korean taekwondo.
