Laura Navasardian


Laura was born on December 6, 2003 in New York City. She started playing cello at the age of six in the class of Vladimir Panteleev. Laura is an eight-grade student at the Special Music School in New York. She is currently a second-year student at the Juilliard Pre-College in the class of Clara Kim.
In 2014, Laura won the first prize at Cremona International Music Competition in Italy. She is also the first prize winner at 2016 New York Music competition as well as winner of 2016 Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition in Salzburg, Austria. She performed at Carnegie Weill Recital Hall as a guest performer and the winner of American Fine Arts Festival. She performed on numerous occasions at Carnegie Weill Recital Hall and Merkin Concert Hall in New York, Auditoriums Museo Del Violino with the Festival Orchestra in Cremona, Italy, and Saal Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria.

In July 2016, Laura participated in Euro Arts Music Festival in Halle, Germany, and in July 2017 – in Todi International Music Academy, Italy. On both occasions, in the class of Professor Suren Bagratuni. In 2017, Laura won the Grand Prize at the International Grand Music Competition in New York City, and became a semi-finalist at the X International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians in Astana, Kazakhstan.

In February 2018, Laura performed with orchestra at Merkin Concert Hall. She won the first prize at 2018 Y92 concerto competition in New York. In March of 2018, she took master classes with Maestro David Geringas at Buchenau, Germany. In June 2018, in Berlin, Germany, she performed Tchaikovsky Rococo Variations with orchestra, conductor Maestro David Geringas. In 2018, Laura was accepted to the Perlman Music Program.

In her spare time, Laura likes skiing and swimming but above all she loves cooking.
