Twelve-year-old Olivia Li from North Carolina has been studying the piano with Florence Ko since age seven, and has received myriad awards and scholarships due to her impressive showings in various piano competitions. She placed first in 2020 SYMF Summer Video Competition, and USA IMAE Piano Competition. As a result of her first-place finishes in the American Protégé International Competition of Romantic Music and in the Golden Classical Music Awards Competition, she was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in November and December, 2018. Unfortunately, a recent performance at Weill Hall of Carnegie Hall was canceled due to COVID-19.
Over the past five years, Olivia has also been the first-place winner in other state competitions including NC Steinway Piano Competition, NCFMC State Competition (NC Federation Music Club), Young Artist Auditions by Raleigh Piano Teachers Association, and State Royalty Competition.
In her spare time, she enjoys sharing her music with others and frequently performs at local charity events and retirement centers.
