Kayla Shen, from San Ramon, California, is currently a sixteen year old junior attending California High School. She has competed in numerous competitions since age 7, including first place in the 2018 Music in the Vineyard Solo Instrument Competition, first place in the 2018 Ghiglieri Piano Competition (Senior Division), second place in the 2018 International Keyboard OdyssiadⓇ and Festival, U.S.A. (IKOF), second place in the 2018 U.S. New Star Etude Competition, second place in the 2018 ENKOR International Music Competition, and numerous first places in USOMC (United States Open Music Competition). She has also performed with the El Camino Youth Symphony and has participated in the California State Summer School for the Arts (CSSSA) in the music department over the summer of 2017. Kayla currently studies with Dr. Tamriko Siprashvili.
