James Lacey, III
James Lacey, III has been studying the cello since he was 5 years old under the guidance of Vardan Gasparyan. In 2018, James debuted at Carnegie Hall as a soloist and first prize winner of the American Protégé International Music Talent competition where he also earned the Judges’ Distinction Trophy. He also performed at Carnegie Hall in 2018 as a soloist and winner of the American Fine Arts Festival’s International Romantic Music Competition. James is a 2018-19 scholarship recipient of the Los Angeles Violoncello Society. When James is not playing the cello, he can be found on the baseball and soccer fields across Southern California.
