Jadis Chen


Jadis Chen began playing the piano at the age of seven. She was recently invited to perform at the Music for Minors Benefit Concert, J’adore Gift of Music Foundation Benefit Concert, and the Peninsula Symphony Concert as a way to give back to the community. She made her Carnegie Hall debut in 2016 as a winner of both the AADGT International Young Gifted Musicians Competition and the American Protege International Competition. At age 16, she has won numerous top prizes and awards including first prize in the 2018 MTNA Honors Competition, first prize in the 2017 Gavilan College Youth Piano Competition, first prize in the 2017 Marilyn Mindell Piano Competition, Gold Medalist in the 2018 US International Music Competition Young Protege, second place in 2018 CAPMT State Competition, third place in the 2018 ENKOR Piano International Competition, first prizes in several categories of US Open Music Competition, grand prize winner of 2015 Western Regional CA State Competition, third place in the 2014 US International Piano Competition and 2016 SF Asian Youth Talent Competition and many more. Jadis currently studies piano with Ms. Rose Chen. Like her teacher, she wants to promote music through benefit concerts. As the Founder/President of the Music for Millions Leadership Club and the President of the Tri-M Music Honor Society at LGHS, she was able to lead a group of high school students to perform at various concert venues and teach at Head Start local pre-schools. In past summers, she participated in the Curtis Young Artists Program, the John Perry Summer Festival, and the University of Pacific Senior Piano Camp with merit scholarship. She has had the privilege of participating in
master classes with Corey McVicar, John Perry, Ching Wen Hsiao, Sharon Mann, Ruth Slenczynska, Dmitry Rachmanov, Ning An, and Sarkis Baltaian. In her spare time, she enjoys jewelry making and coding.
