Garrett Blosen (piano)
Garrett Blosen, age 15, enjoys playing musical instruments especially piano, cello, and percussion. Garrett currently studies piano with Ellen Sargisian. Garrett started entering music competitions both piano and cello when he was 13 years old. He has won multiple awards, including the San Francisco Youth Talent Competition, American Fine Arts Festival, Golden Key International Competition, US Open Music Competition, VOCE, Heritage Festival, and the Junior Bach Festival. He made his solo performance debut in San Mateo California for the SF Youth Talent competition. He has performed at Carnegie Hall and been invited to NY Lincoln center. Garrett also enjoys sharing his music with others and uses it as a way to relax. He studies chamber music at the California Music Preparatory Academy and also participates regularly with their outreach program. He was a member of El Camino Youth Symphony, enjoyed Jazz band, and was a piano accompanist for his school choirs. He has been going to local senior homes to play piano and cello since he was in middle school. Besides music, he enjoys sailing and robotics including competing in world championships for both activities.
