Darren Hung is a freshman at Coronado High School in Henderson, Nevada. He takes Facetime piano lessons from his aunt, Dr. Emily Hung, in California. Darren has won gold medals in Romantic Festival and Contemporary Flare, and silver medal in Classical Festival sponsored by Music Teachers’ Association of California. In 2018, Darren was awarded third prize from the internationally acclaimed Great Composers Competition in the Masters of Piano Sonata Competition Series. In addition to his passion for music, Darren excels in golf where he recently won 3rd place in two consecutive seasons of U.S. Kids Golf in the state of Nevada. His favorite subject is math, and he was on the National Honor Roll in multiple Noetic Learning Math Contests. He enjoys learning foreign languages and video editing in his free time.
