Callie Wen is a senior at Richard Montgomery High School and has been playing violin for 11 years. She studied with Mr. Chang Liu for 5 years, with Mrs. Amy Beth Horman for three years and now studies with Holly Hamilton. She has participated in Maryland Classical Youth Orchestras every year since fourth grade, All-State Orchestra in eighth and ninth grade, and RMHS Pit Orchestra since ninth grade. She has also played in Young Artists of America since tenth grade and currently sits concertmaster. She has participated in various music summer camps, such as Luzerne Music Center, and participated as a local musician in the National Symphony Orchestra's Summer Music Institute. She also interned at the National Philharmonic's Summer String Institute, combining her love for music with her passion of working with young children.
