Winston Gao started playing piano when he was 5 years old, and went through 3 piano teachers before he settled with his current one, Laura Schindler, a National Certified Teacher of Music. He has received many music awards for playing piano solo, including top three place awards of many years of Mid-America Music Association's annual music festival and competition. He was also selected to take a couple of Piano Master's classes here in St Louis, MO, USA.
