Madeleine Riding
Madeleine Riding has played the violin for 15 years. She is a current student of Monte Belknap at Brigham Young University where she is pursuing a degree in violin performance. Madeleine was the 2018 Best Debussy Performance winner of the Great Composers Competition. She was a semi-finalist in the Utah Valley Young Artists competition in 2017 and the first alternate for the Utah MTNA performance competition in 2016. She also took Second Place in the 2018 American Protégé International Competition of Romantic Music. Madeleine was selected for the NAfME All-National Honors Symphony Orchestra in 2016 and 2017. She was also a member of the Lyceum Philharmonic for 4 years and was concertmaster for the 2017-2018 season. She has performed with Jenny Oaks Baker, the Piano Guys, William Joseph, and Paul Cardall. She played on Paul Cardall's album "A New Creation" which debuted at #1 on the Billboard New Age Charts and #2 on Billboard's Classical (crossover) album chart. In addition to her studies, she enjoys teaching the students in her growing private violin studio.
