Yi Zhang, a graduate student major in piano performance at University of Kansas, is from Sichuan, China. She studies with Phoebe Hailing Zhang at Sichuan Conservatory of Music in China and Dr. Michael Kirkendoll at the University of Kansas since 2016. Awards include fourth place (Honorable Mention) in KMTA Competition Category of Graduate Piano in 2016, 2017, and third prize of Piano Sonata in the Seventh China-Singapore International Music Competition (China Region) in 2013.
