Kimberly Pham Rush began playing the violin at the age of 4 and is currently studying under Professor Linda Wang. As a soloist, she has been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York and the Wiener Saal Mozarteum in Salzburg. Her accomplishments in the instrument include winning first prize in the American Protege International Music Talent Competition, third prize for the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition, second prize for the VIVO Youth Music Competition, honorable mention with good results for the Rising Stars Grand Prix Violin Competition, third prize for the Artist of the Year and the Best Wieniawski Performance Series (Great Composers Competition), and runner up for the Lamont Summer Academy Concerto/Aria Competition. Along with her friends, she founded Crescendo Arts, a nonprofit dedicated to spreading the joy of the visual and performing arts to her community in the Philippines. Her other passions include track and field, cross country, and piano.
