Robin Park


Robin Park is currently completing a Bachelor of Music Performance at the Conservatorium of Music majoring in Trumpet, studying with Bruce Hellmers. He achieved his AmusA (Associate diploma) in 2015 and his LmusA (Licentiate Diploma) in 2016. He has extensive performance experience, having been invited to play with the Australian Youth Orchestra, SBS Youth Orchestra, the Salvation Army Band, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra performing Mendelssohn’s Elijah at the Sydney Opera House, Sydney International Brass Festival and as principal trumpeter of the Conservatorium High School Symphonic Orchestra. He is also a part of the Conservatorium Wind Symphony, the Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra, Conservatorium Modern Music Ensemble and the Conservatorium Opera Orchestra, performing frequently at large concerts held at the Conservatorium of Music.

Notable achievements include being awarded the Outstanding Instrumental Finalist at Ryde Eisteddfod and subsequent invitation to perform at the Ryde District Music Club award finals, Fine Music 102.5 FM Radio Young Virtuoso Finalist and radio broadcast in July 2016. Robin has also achieved numerous 1st place and championship titles at various eisteddfods, including Sydney eisteddfod, Ryde Eisteddfod, WA (Perth) Eisteddfod, Northern Beaches Eisteddfod and Penrith Eisteddfod. He was also the recipient of the Senior Wind Scholarship sponsored by Bluescope at the open age championship held at Wollongong.

This year, Robin has been selected as one of three finalists chosen from a large pool of international applicants to compete at the International Trumpet Guild Solo Competition during the International Trumpet Guild’s Annual Conference at San Antonio, Texas. He was also awarded with a full Conference Scholarship for this event. He will also perform as part of the Australian Trumpet Guild at this event.

Robin has also been selected to travel to Berlin and take part in a masterclass series led by renown and leading trumpet player Sergei Nakariakov. He will also perform as a soloist with a chamber ensemble and as a part of the orchestral and chamber ensemble programs.

Robin was part of the 2018 Australian Youth Orchestra’s National Music Camp at Adelaide, where he played as principal trumpet for the Alexander Orchestra and performed live broadcasted concerts on ABC FM in January.
