Sydney Lemley is a Senior in high school at Morgantown Christian Academy, WV. She has been playing piano for 8 years under Juliana Yap and started her piano studies when she was 8 years old. She has placed in each of the Great Composers Competitions she has entered and is hoping to place in more in the future. Along with this, she also won First Prize at the WV MTA Mountain State Senior High Piano Competition and has attended the Morgantown Young Pianists Competition where she has won Honorable Mention in 2017 and Third Place in 2018. She also attended the Marian Garcia International Piano Competition in 2018 and was selected for the master class. Besides piano, she also has been playing clarinet for 6 years and was selected as first chair at the ODACS band in Virginia, 13th chair in the WV Allstate band in 2019, and 2nd chair in 2020. As of this year, she has also won Honorable mention in the Piano and Strings Competition through American Protege where she will get to perform a piece in Weill Hall June 2021.
