Justin is 11 years old and attends Punahou School in Hawaii. In 2017, he received 3rd Place Award from the Hawaii Music Teachers Association for piano competition in October. In 2018, he was Second Prize Winner for the Great Composers International Music Competition for Best Chopin Performance in March. He was Third Place Winner for the American Protege International Piano and Strings Competition in Piano Young Musicians Category in April when he debut at the Carnegie Hall in New York, received Second Prize for the Steinway Piano Competition in Hawaii in May, and was a local finalist for the Osaka International Music Competition in September. This year, he is the Second Place Winner in the Junior Category of the American Protege International Piano and Strings Competition and again performed at the Carnegie Hall in New York in June. In September, he tied in 2nd place with his twin sister at the Osaka Competition Hawaii Preliminary Round Piano / Section III / Infant A Division. On October 6, 2019, he received 4th Prize at the 20th Final Round of the Osaka International Music Competition in Section III Youth-Infant Category A Free Program Course for Piano.
Just is also an artful percussionist who plays the drum and marimba.
